| This campaign focuses on the 'morning after' issue and is available to road safety teams across the UK.
Using the headline 'How long before you're safe to drive?', the campaign explains how long it takes for alcohol to pass through the body - and therefore how long it is before people who have had a drink are safe to drive.
Sally Bartrum, campaign manager, says: "Our informal focus groups highlighted a lack of awareness about this issue among drivers of all ages, and interest in the subject. People were genuinely surprised (and concerned) to discover how long it takes to be safe to drive after drinking.
"We are not aware of any other current campaign that addresses 'the morning after' - and as such we think our campaign supports, rather than competes with, other drink drive initiatives."
Campaign resources comprise a poster and leaflet The purpose of the campaign is to make people aware of the facts and provide them with information to help them stay safe and avoid a drink drive conviction.
